
Writing Foundations (IEW)- Level A Year 1 3rd/4th
In this class, students will learn the IEW writing framework, including key structural models (e.g., the Two-Part Rule, Key Word Outlines, and Story Sequence Models), practice writing with purpose and structure, moving from simple paragraphs to more developed multi-paragraph compositions, build skills in summarizing, narrating, and explaining through themed lessons and practical applications, expand vocabulary and sentence variety to make writing more expressive and engaging, participate in guided discussions and peer-friendly activities that strengthen confidence and reinforce competency.
This class is ideal for 3rd and 4th grade writers who are ready to deepen their ability to organize thoughts, communicate ideas clearly, and approach writing tasks with confidence. Through IEW’s proven method and a supportive, interactive virtual environment, students will establish a strong writing foundation that prepares them for more advanced composition across subjects.
