Concurrent Enrollment
Interested in taking college classes while in high school? Get a jump start on your degree or certificate and fulfill high school graduation requirements!
1. Pick a college (Go to their webpage for High School Students and read the entire process thoroughly)
2. Apply online (only for 1st-time concurrent enrollment students or if you have skipped a semester or more). You will first be prompted to create a CCC Apply account, then apply to the college.

Wait for your college student ID number to be emailed to you within 24-48 hours.

3. Pick a class (Use the CE Guide to see which college classes fulfill high school graduation requirements. Or pick any other academic or elective course you are interested in. Check the Course Catalog for prerequisites and the course description. Go to the Class Schedule to see if it's offered that semester.
4. Fill out the college's registration packet with the student's information, course name, and course section. You may list several options in prioritized order. Submit it either through the college's online submission process (if available) or upload it in the next step.
5. Complete the Request for College Courses survey. Counselors will review your request, approve courses, and respond to you through email.
6. Read the email received from your high school counselor that includes the next steps.
7. Submit Proof of Enrollment to the Proof of Enrollment survey once registered for the college course.
If you continue to take college classes in subsequent semesters, you can start at Step 3 in the future!
