Westward Bound- Westward Expansion 5th Grade

In this class, students will explore the exciting story of Westward Expansion and how the United States grew across the continent. They will learn about important events like the Louisiana Purchase, the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and the Oregon Trail. Students will meet famous explorers and pioneers, discover how people traveled and settled new lands, and see how expansion affected different communities, including Native Americans. Through maps, stories, projects, and hands-on activities, students will build their skills as history detectives while learning how Westward Expansion shaped our country.
