Fraction Heroes- Intro to Fractions

In this class, students will build a strong and meaningful understanding of fractions. They will learn how fractions represent equal parts of a whole, model fractions using shapes and number lines, and understand the difference between unit and non-unit fractions. Students will also explore equivalent fractions and practice comparing fractions by reasoning about their size. Throughout the class, lessons emphasize visual models, math vocabulary, and explaining thinking, helping students gain confidence and real understanding that supports future math learning.
